Sustainability

Aside from your pet’s care and well-being, sustainability is very important to us. We have implemented various ways to incorporate sustainability in all faucets of our business. Here are just some of the ways we are improving our ecological pawprint.

1

Biodegradable waste bags

We first use old plastic bags that would otherwise be trash. Then we use biodegradable poop bags mostly made of corn. This reduces plastic waste, fossil fuels and space in landfills.

2

reusable water bottles

We use reusable water bottles instead of plastic on our walks and hikes for both our pups and our hoomans.

3

sustainable materials

When we must purchase new, we purchase biodegradable and renewable materials such as bamboo, cotton, hemp, and other organic and plant-based materials.

4

Going Paperless

We utilize electronic contracts and communication as much as possible to reduce paper waste. When paper is necessary, we print on recycled printer paper.

5

Treats + Food

While adhering to your pet’s allergies, the training treats we use are generally plant-based (pumpkin, banana, apple, etc). Should meat be used, they’re comprised of sustainable chicken and turkey, since their ecological impact is significantly lower than other meats.

6

Reuse Reduce Recycle

Before recycling or composting, we use items as much as we can. Examples include toys, cardboard boxes, paper towel rolls, bags, etc.

7

donations

We donate gently used items to local shelters as much as possible instead of tossing them in the garbage. We also purchase needed high-end goods second-hand to reduce waste.

8

Buying in Bulk

We purchase necessary items in bulk whenever possible, reducing the amount of shipping and packing materials used, which burns less fossil fuels.

9

B Corporation

We are currently in the arduous process to become a certified B Corporation, which sets the highest standards for environmental and social performance.
