Frequently asked questions.

  • It’s as simple as 1-2-3. First, click here to read about our process, which highlights what you can expect. Second, it's important to read our terms of service, which explain the requirements needed for booking services. Finally, fill out the quick Contact form, and we will reach out to schedule your meet-and-greet!

  • We utilize positive reinforcement and reward-based training, as we believe this promotes happier and healthier pets. We also believe this is how they learn best.

  • Unfortunately, sometimes there are unforeseen circumstances that arise, such as traffic and weather delays, while sometimes some pups just need a little extra TLC that day. This is why we offer time blocks for walks and home visits as opposed to a specific time.

  • We accept credit card payments through your private and secure online profile via our booking software, while we also accept checks and money orders.

Services which haven’t been paid at least 72 hours in advance to beginning of service are subject to cancellation at our discretion and may be subject to a cancellation fee.

  • While we understand unforeseen circumstances arise at the last minute, we need to be able to plan accordingly. Therefore, we have a 72-hour cancellation policy for recurring dog walks/in-home visits, one week cancellation for non-permanent dog walks/visits, and one month’s notice required for overnight sitting.

Services not cancelled within the required timeframe are subject to a cancellation fee.

  • Well-mannered refers to dogs having been trained with good manners, such as not jumping on people. Obedient refers to pups who are trained and listen when corrected, such as “leave it” and recall. Non-aggressive refers to non-reactivity such as barking at, biting, growling at other dogs when seeing them. Social refers to pups who can meet new dogs without aggression or high energy.

  • During extreme heat or cold, we adjust outdoor walks as needed dependent on the needs of each dog, in addition to the pack as a whole. Dogs will not be walked in weather temperatures above 80 degrees F and below 40 degrees F for their safety.

SOLO WALKS: Substituted for a 20-minute home visit with indoor play, TLC and potty break.

HIKES + GROUP WALKS: Substituted for a 20-minute home visit with indoor play, TLC and potty break. Dependent upon weather and staff available, hikes and group walks might be substituted for a beach adventure! An additional $25 per service is applied to beach days to cover additional costs and time. Pups are out of the house for roughly 3-4 hours. This is a $10 reduction from our regularly-scheduled beach day adventures!

Please note: Unfortunately, service prices will not be decreased due to extreme weather conditions, as your dog walker’s vehicle/time costs remain the same. Of course we will always give your pup the TLC they deserve during our time together!

  • If your dog walker is sick, we may have a back-up walker as needed. If our back-up walker is also unavailable, we will contact you as soon as possible to inform you.

Please note: on days in which your back-up walker is utilized, they may be up to 2 hours behind, as they learn the route and routine of each pup throughout the day (your regular walker is able to flow throughout the day much quicker with an established, regular routine). Of course we will always communicate with you to let you know in the event of a back-up dog walker or pet sitter visiting.

  • We completely understand. While we really wish we could lower our rates, there are many laws which fortunately protect employees, including your dog walker and pet sitter. After 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week, employees must be paid time and a half for the remaining hours. Although it is overnight, they are still working and being paid hourly. To make up for the overtime pay per California Law, our service prices cover these costs.

If our overnight in-home pet sitting is out of your budget, consider nighttime and morning drop-in visits to allow your pets to be well-cared for and adhere to their routine, all while staying in the comfort of home.

  • We love them all! We don’t discriminate based on a pup’s breed (especially having lived with very sweet and tender pit bulls and german shepherds). Therefore, dogs are determined to be a good fit not based on breed, but rather their individual temperament.

  • We currently service Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, Hayward, and Castro Valley.

We serve Danville, Blackhawk, Livermore, Alamo, Diablo, and Fremont on a case-by-case basis.

  • Yes. This is because these are the most requested dates for service, and our dog walkers and pet sitters are compensated accordingly for working more hours during such busy times.

Dog walks/hikes/pet sitting/drop-in visit services scheduled on Federal Holidays are subject to a $15 surcharge and $25 for overnight services. This also applies to services scheduled on Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve.

Dog walks/hikes/pet sitting/drop-in visit services scheduled on the following holidays are subject to a $10 surcharge, with a $15 surcharge for overnight services: Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Halloween.

  • All pets must stay current on flea and tick medications as part of our terms of service. Even with this protection, a flea or tick may be found on a protected dog and will likely die or look for a home elsewhere. Talk to your vet about which flea and tick treatment he or she recommends for your pet.

  • After each outdoor adventure, your dog walker is more than happy to wipe down your pup with a towel of your choosing prior to returning home upon request; however, this does not substitute a full bath/cleaning.

If there are specific areas of the home in which you are worried about possible lingering dirt, please communicate with your dog walker at least 48 hours in advance so they can return your pup to an approved area of your home.

Whether or not your pup gets dirty on outdoor adventures is dependent upon multiple factors: location of the walk/hike, the recent weather, and how much your dog enjoys getting dirty. Most adventure hikes are unpaved and prone to becoming muddy during rain. While we do our best to minimize messy encounters, we cannot guarantee your romping pup will stay out of mud and puddles — they are just too irresistible. Hey, if you like to drive in them, they like to jump in them!

  • While we are proud to say that most of our bookings result in photos sent at the conclusion of our visit, we cannot guarantee photos will be sent each and every time. Priority is given to the safety of your pet alongside the proper exercise and care. As a result, this sometimes means photos may not be able to be taken, especially on grouped, leashed walks.

  • We do! Subject to availability, we provide visits on nights and weekends to ensure your pets are well-cared for.

Weekend visits and early bird (before 8am) / after-hour (after 5pm) visits can be scheduled dependent upon availability for an additional $10 per service.

  • Of course! We are licensed, bonded and insured, as well as Pet First Aid + CPR certified.
